Skip’s Picks: 50 Cent – “Back Down”

The four minutes that ended Ja Rule’s career. I was bumpin’ “Get Rich Or Die Tryin’” last night and lets just say it’s a certified classic. “Back Down” displayed 50’s ruthless delivery, catchy punchlines, and cemented Dr. Dre as one of the illest producers ever. Those two put together one hell of a debut for the Queens MC. Seems like forever ago.

This track is sick despite the ridiculous yelling by Lil’ Jon at the beginning of the song. That man should either make another album or never speak again. Ever.
