PFOP x LumzLenz Exclusive: West Coast Trippin’
September 2, 2010 |1 Comment| by skipThis has to have been one of the most eventful summers I have had in a while. Not only have I had the chance to spend time with some of my closest friends, but I also got the privilege to travel to the west coast. I was out in L.A. for the first time, and even though they beat the Celtics in the NBA finals, I definitely see myself going back again and again to visit. My last stop was Las Vegas, for the Magic Trade Show, where Society Original Products was showcasing their upcoming collection. Shout out to them for putting me on. Now check out my proof.
A Day In The Life: “Kings of The Court”

As I mentioned earlier, I was in Flushing, Queens yesterday to soak up some U.S. Open world class tennis and sun, the latter avoided as best possible with umbrellas, hats, sunglasses, and ice-cold water. I got to see Mardy Fish, Fernando Verdasco, and David Nalbandian in action, to name a few. It was unbearably hot but knowing what the players were going through put it all in perspective. Tennis will always be one of favorite sports. It’s the ultimate one-on-one battle, combining fitness, skill, creativity, and wit to outduel the opponent. So, pop the top, check out some dope visuals, and remember, PFOP is the illest haha.
And So It Begins…

We started recording for “Grove Street” tonight, the follow-up to MoShadee’s “The Progression” mixtape. Boy, I really think we’re on to something here. I eagerly anticipate the day we can drop the project. Be sure to check out his “Didn’t Cha Know” video if you missed it.
Certified Skateboards First Annual Skate Jam Recap
August 24, 2010 |2 Comments| by skip
Well today was the Certified Skateboards First Annual Skate Jam and it was tons of fun. A lot of people came out, young and old, doing their very best to impress their fellow skaters and enjoy the day. Friendly competition, Red Bulls, and the sounds of Lupe Fiasco’s “Kick, Push” defined the afternoon as laughter and handshakes became the welcomed result. Despite the threat of rain, everyone enjoyed the moment, of which I have indisputable evidence. I can really see this event growing, thanks to the hospitality of Jon L and all those involved. On behalf of PFOP, I would like to thank everyone who made this possible. Pop the trunk for more.

A Day In The Life: “Rainy Chromeo”
August 23, 2010 |No Comments| by skip
I went into New York yesterday to meet up with my good friend J and one of his boys from Penn. We tried to do some shopping, went to an amazing bar/restaurant for brunch, and then headed to Brooklyn for a Chromeo concert despite on-and-off rain throughout the day. Hit the jump for more.

Nakeya and I are back at it again. It’s been awhile, I feel, since I’ve linked with this girl to get some more than random photos taken. The title of this post are straight from her exact words.
2010 VA Summer ChillFest Recap
August 3, 2010 |2 Comments| by Moshadee
Despite a rain filled day, the first annual VA Summer ChillFest still had a pretty good turnout. Shouts to the ladies over at Creative Crime for holdin’ me down. Sorry to anyone who missed out and wasn’t fortunate enough to be in attendance. This was the start of something epic. You should definitely keep your eyes and ears tuned to what’s in store for Creative Crime in the near future. Of course, my girl Nakeya B. was there to do what she does best. Peep a few photos after the jump and the rest here. Once I get more coverage of the event, you shall too.
July

It’s hot out. Yesterday a tornado in New York was close to happening. The weather is nuts. It’s responsible for what we do throughout the day. On this day in July, Mo and I did the following. Not much. Just somethin’ to keep us alive. PFOP. It’s a lifestyle.
Royal Flush

I used to collect cards like a madman as a youngster. Basketball cards were definitely my forte. I remember meticulously arranging my babies and making awful trades (Jordan for Ed Belfour). Great memories. Instead of Pikachu, I was rockin’ with Gary Payton. Instead of Alekazam I was rockin’ with Allen Iverson. Can’t fault me for that can you? Check out some of my most prized possessions including two K.G. rookie cards (above). Get at me.
Where I’ve Been
July 21, 2010 |No Comments| by Moshadee
Pretty much about every post you’ve seen, Skip was at the end of it. The homie has been holdin’ down PFOP pretty heavy I must say. I’m going to squeeze in some effort here and there but, my main focus has solely been my next project. I guess that’s a good enough excuse. The next tape is called “Grove Street.” That’s the block I grew up on. I’m taking it back home on this one. You can still grab “The Progression” on the right side of this site. So, take this as my “back in the swing of things” post. I’ll keep the visuals, songs, photos, and whatever else I believe is quality material coming. You just make sure to tell a friend to tell a friend. It’s PFOP, I think we’re on to something good here. You tell me…
Classic Publications

How awesome is this? I’m doing a few room renovations and needed to move my bed. Underneath I found a box full of old, classic newspapers and magazines from years ago. It’s like some sort of movie. I feel like if I start reading these I’m gonna magically warp back in time and find myself alongside Leonardo on the Titanic (look above). Crazy. I wonder how much these are worth. I found some more goodies which will be featured in a post tomorrow so get ready for that. Hit the jump for some of the most famous headlines in American history.
The Grocery Store

The grocery store. Where we had some of the greatest times of our lives as youngsters. Don’t front. I always used to steal the price tags and coupons. I was a bad kid. Surrounded by a maze of food, the grocery served as a magical kingdom made up of cookies and hot dogs that had us all salivating. I decided to revisit the place which gave us such fond memories to do a little photography. The grocery store. The place where we could all be bad (and happy) ass kids.
A Day In The Life: “NYC Cruisin’”
July 16, 2010 |No Comments| by skipWe are gonna be making a very real effort to include a lot more original footage on Pocket Full of Paper. It will add a personal touch to the site that I’m sure you guys will enjoy. This past weekend I was in NYC with the entire PFOP family just chillin’ and figuring out what’s next. We’re gonna have some dope visuals as a result of the meetup dropping next week, but in the meantime I just wanted to throw up a short A Day In The Life piece. Big ups to Dizzle, MoShadee, Owen (LumzLenz), and Eazy. You guys are all like family to me and there is no limit to what we can accomplish. Music by Young Jeezy. Lemme tell you ’bout the time…
