Oswalt Accepts Trade To Phillies

July 29, 2010 |No Comments| by skip

This is a beast trade for the Phillies. Man that rotation is nasty. Holliday, Cole Hamels, Joe Blanton, and now Roy Oswalt. This team is gonna be dangerous in the playoffs. Add a healthy Chase Utley into the mix and as a Yankee fan, things could get ugly…

T.O. Agrees To Deal w/ Bengals

July 27, 2010 |No Comments| by skip

Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens on the same team? I don’t know about this. The Bengals also added Antonio Bryant so if both diva wide receivers just play and leave the drama for the offseason, this could turn out to be something special. Too bad I can’t say the same for their TV shows.

I would have done anything to have seen Klose, Schweinstiger, and Podolski at that table. Oh well. There’s always 2014. Congrats to Spain on a victory well deserved. Check out the pre-World Cup Nike offering here.

Thierry Henry Joins Red Bulls

July 14, 2010 |No Comments| by skip

If you follow soccer, you knew this was coming. After playing for European giants Arsenal and Barcelona, French striker Thierry Henry will be playing for the New York Red Bulls next season. While he isn’t the same player he was during his glory days a few years back, he’s sure to bring some attention to his new club. I actually saw him at a cafe in SoHo once. He seems like a real cool dude. PFOP wishes you best best of luck sir!

Spain Wins World Cup

July 12, 2010 |No Comments| by skip

I ended up watching the game at an ice cream store in New York after walking right into a gay bar haha. Good times. As far as the game went, it was certainly exciting. I would have liked to see more goals but it just made Iniesta’s 1-0 scorcher that much crazier. I thought that Argentina or Brazil would raise the golden trophy when it was all said and done, but these guys definitely deserved it. Well dope Spain.

Amare Agrees To Terms w/ Knicks

July 5, 2010 |No Comments| by skip

The man will make $100 million over the next five years and get to live in New York. Why the hell would he turn that down. Now if the Knicks can bag Wade or Bron-Bron this summer as well, expect big things from the orange, white, and blue. Doubt they will though. Word is that they will try to get Carmelo Anthony next year. Guess we’ll find out soon enough. Congrats Amare.

Will he live up to the hype? Washington has a lot going for them in the world of sports. Wall (probably), Starsburg, and Bryce Harper (Google him). Well check out the video and get ready for one of the most exciting summers in basketball…ever.

Kobe vs. LeBron: The Final Showdown

kobelebron

Throughout the 2009-10 NBA season, the names Kobe Bryant and LeBron James were on the tip of everyone’s tongue after just about every game. Now, with number twenty-four two games away from yet another title and Cleveland’s savior on the verge of a summer that could change the NBA as we know it, the time has come to settle one of the greatest questions in all of sports. Who is better, Kobe or LeBron? I have decided to use a point system based on four categories which will ultimately led to the verdict we have all been waiting for. While I am definitely a L.J. fan, I will be completely fair in my ruling. This I promise you. Hit the jump to get started.

Nadal Wins Fifth French Open Title

June 6, 2010 |1 Comment| by skip

This man is insane. If you’ve ever watched him play on clay, you know what’s up. He didn’t drop a single set in the 2010 French Open and destroyed Robin Soderling in the final. That is so crazy haha. He’s now ranked number one in the world, ahead of Roger Federer. And now, I’m off to the courts to hit some tennis balls. Congrats Rafa!
